improvements after Kleinstadt

I have very apprecied improvements in last update (especially possibility for freight trains to run in advance and the increasing of the range of failures (to infrastructure, to trains and also some external occourences)

I ask to signal soft team, before to introduce new simulations (with all problems well known and explained from Richard about his work in these months) if it will be possible to introduce new solutions in occourences also for all rheingold simulation, if possible starting from Brohl and Andernach

thanks for reply and sorry for bad english

Once the Rheingold simulations will see an update the functions you are refering to will be available.

However, I think it is not very likely that such updates will be released on short term. Some (beta) testing will be required before doing so.

indeed, the problem with "massive updates" is that it needs to be tested before we can do an update for something like Rhinegold. We've had some cases where we introduce a new feature that tends to have effect on one other simulation....

Therefore we're very careful with updating. Kleinstadt normally sees it first, as that is our "test bed" for most of the features.

Normally we release a new simulation first and THEN go through the other sims with the same software level.

The problem with the German layouts is the fact that actually each signal box is a unique thing, rather than the modular way they designed it. So yes, it is a similar engine, but with individualities per layout that we need to cater for.

  • 5 months later...

today it seems to me that a strange difference is on simulation. I well explain

if i set a route from signal AA to track 2 occupation time for switch 3 is very long (also for trains going from track 2 to Erle) It seems that distance from switch 2 to switch 3 may be important. The same behaviour is not present for mouvements of trains towards switch 1 and 4. In this case occupation time of both switch is more fast and it seems that distance from switch 1 and 4 is very short if compared with time occupation of switches 2 and 3. But as these switch 1 - 4 and 2 - 3 are in correspondence is this possible and real ?

thanks for the reply

For more precision a 100 mt. train (lok+3 cars) is entirely comprised on track circuit of switch 3 (switch reverse) but this doesnt happens for switch 4 or 1

Sorry for my bad english
