Trains From Duisburg Hbf Track 004 To Abstellbf Track 629

Help required please, as I cannot set a route from Duisburg Hbf Track 004 to Abstellbf Track 629.

I am using the latest version of the downloaded 2013 timetable, and the sequence of events is as follows:-

Train 10146 approaches from Mulheim-Styrum at 0016 and a route is set from ESig Y to ASig P4. 10146 then proceeds into Track 004 and stops at Sperrsig 4w.

I cancel the overlap from ASig P4 by using Number Entry Panel 504->Right Cursor Key->End Key->Enter Key.

Sperrsig 4w still shows 'Proceed' and the route is still lit over Track 504 from Sperrsig 4w to ASig P4.

I then try to set a route using the ASig P4 shunt button to Abstellbf Track button 629 (not button Sperrsig 629) but the route will not call.

ASig P4 and Abstellbf Track 629 buttons light up pink but Sperrsig 614I flashes yellow.

I tried to set a shunt route from ASig P4 to Sperrsig 614 but again ASig P4 lights up pink, Sperrsig 614I flashes yellow and I get a message at the bottom of the screen stating "P4 -> 614I Startsignal in use already".

It would appear I am the first person to encounter this problem (I looked through the German posts as well), so I would really appreciate it if someone could tell be the correct procedure for getting a train from Track 004 to Abstellbf Track 629.

Thanks in anticipation,

Phil.

Hi Phil,

this problem is already a subject of the German posts: http://www.signalsoft.info/forum/index.php?showtopic=2061&page=3#entry14381 and #51 to #56

You have to cancel the remaining part of the train route between signal 4w and signal P4 by using the FHT button. Signal 4w will turn to red. Afterwards you can set the shunt route from signal 4w to track 629.

According to the experts in the German posts this is not the correct procedure in reality but actually it is required for the function of the simulation.

Regards

Helmut

So to add to the words of Helmut. Revoke the train route from signal 4w towards P4, by applying FHT + switch button of switch 622

Thank you for your reply Helmut, and thanks also for the linkt to the German forum. Unfortunately it is difficult to understand because of the literal translation from German to English.

I have tried using the DHT button as you suggested but nothing happens. The route over Track 504 from Sperrsig 4w will not cancel and the signal does not turn to red.

I did try authorising 10146 to continue as a shunt movement to ASig P4, then replacing 4w to red after the train had passed, and then try to set a shunt route from P4. Still nothing works.

Regards,

Phil.

Hi Erwin,

I did not see your reply until after I replied to Helmut.

Thank you very much :) I did as you suggested FHT+622WT and the route cancelled straight away.

Thanks again for your help. These German panels certainly do work very differently to British ones!:)

Regards,

Phil.

Hi Phil,

I made a mistake by saying DHT button. You have to use the FHT button. I have corrected it immediately but perhaps you didn't see it right now. And as Tjoe Tjoe has added use the FHT button with the button of switch 622. The remaining train route will disappear and the signal 4w will turn to red.

Success

Helmut

Yes, success! :) Everything works fine now Helmut.

Thanks again to you and Erwin for helping me sort this problem.

Phil.

I spent an hour on the panel this week with some visitors and the dispatchers confirmed that that was the common way....

You can only avoid this by taking the train to another track....
